Domaine Dujac
About Domaine Dujac
Domaine Dujac remains one of the most revered producers of Burgundy and continues to drive Burgundy collectors mad with desire. Founded in 1968 by Jacques Seysses, who spent years travelling around Burgundy honing his craft by learning from the likes of Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Charles Rousseau of Domaine Armand Rousseau.
This Morey-Saint-Denis-based producer is one of the region’s top cult wineries. Gaining a reputation for rich, full-bodied Red Burgundy, the modus operandi was to make use of whole-cluster fermentation and 100% new oak. A trademark style continued until 1999, the estate remains one of the most sought-after, distinctive sources of Burgundy.

Vinous (95)The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru has an extravagant bouquet with brambly red fruit laced with shucked oyster shell and a touch of seaweed. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, lightly spiced with a subtle ash-like note towards the composed finish. This has great backbone that should guarantee its longevity. A quintessential Dujac/Malconsorts. - Neal Martin |

Vinous (94-96)The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a perfumed and enticing bouquet with brambly black fruit, black truffle and Earl Grey aromas gently wafting from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. The whole bunch influence is discrete here but lends an attractive white pepper and clove note towards the finish that fans out wonderful whilst maintaining freshness and tension. Just outflanked by the Aux Malconsorts, nevertheless, this is a brilliant Les Beaux Monts. |
