Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2016 Croizet-Bages has an open and engaging bouquet, a mélange of red and black fruit laced with cedar and subtle mint aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins matched with a fine bead of acidity. It displays a tad more “rondeur” than its peers thanks to some expressive Merlot and fans out on the finish. A Croizet-Bages that “leaves the customer satisfied. |

Revelling in its prestigious heritage, the Croizet-Bages 2006 hails from the eminent Pauillac region of Bordeaux, France – revered worldwide for superb wine craftsmanship. This vintner's offering telegraphs a deep ruby hue, a testament to its blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes. Intricately matured in seasoned oak barrels, exceptional ageing lends robust tannins, opulent notes of black fruits, and subtle hints of spice to the Croizet-Bages 2006. The house of Croizet-Bages, part of the lineage of the Grand Cru Classé, remain custodians of traditional wine making values. Their 2006 vintage epitomises these virtues. Harvesting grapes from a splendid 26-hectare vineyard, they patiently coax the nectar into becoming a sophisticated wine. Echoing the finesse of distinct terroir, each sip of Croizet-Bages 2006 engulfs the palate with layers of complex flavours, embodying pure Pauillac nuance. A sublime addition to any discerning fine wine collection. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2018 Croizet-Bages has a fragrant, well-defined nose with the blackberry and briary notes that I observed from barrel; this is one of the most satisfying aromatics I have encountered from this Pauillac estate. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, plenty of graphite-infused black fruit and a fine bead of acidity. A little dry on the finish but quite persistent. This is a fine Croizet-Bages that should please those whose knees tremble at the thought of "classic" Left Bank Cabernet. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (94)The 2020 Croizet-Bages is a very pretty, aromatic Pauillac. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, dried herbs, incense and rose petal are all beautifully lifted. Nervy tannins need time to soften, but all elements are nicely balanced. I especially admire the energy and understated persistence here. |
