Sebastiano Rosa, the owner and winemaker of the Agricola Punica Estate in Sardinia and former winemaker at Sassicaia, has created one of the major rising stars in Italian wine. Described by James Suckling as "intense, dense and beautiful," and by Vinous as "serious, structured and quite suave," it is clear that this is a wine with pedigree as well as the quality to back it up. The most compelling thing about this wine is frankly just its evident quality combined with its exceedingly reasonable price tag. What it offers is sheer class and style.
