Pale straw yellow. Subdued aromas and flavors of fresh citrus fruit, underripe apricot, vanilla and sage, plus a complicating saline nuance. Finishes moderately persistent, with a slightly diffuse quality. This will need to put on weight and gain in complexity to warrant a higher rating, but it's certainly clean and precise.

The 2014 Olivier Blanc has retained that attractive mineral-drenched bouquet that I enjoyed so much out of barrel: fine delineation and a sense of energy bursting from the glass. The palate is very fresh on the entry with lime cordial, kiwi fruit and a touch of lemongrass, less shrill than it showed at primeur but with an engaging, lip-smacking salinité on the persistent finish. Excellent white Pessac-Léognan.

It effortlessly replaces one sensation with the next, just building ever so slowly in power and juice, and pulsates through. Looking at the two whites from this great address, the 2022 Pagodes De Cos Blanc is based on 57% Sauvignon Blanc and 43% Semillon.
