Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2019 Petit Bocq offers attractive blackberry, bilberry and light cassis notes, quite well defined and showing more exuberance than the barrel sample. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and plenty of briny black fruit that underlies a sapid finish. This has kicked on nicely over its barrel maturation and I have raised my score accordingly. |

James Suckling (96-97)The complexity and depth is fantastic in this beautifully crafted, refined red. Such poise, finesse and length. Yet dense and very compacted. Love the texture precision. Goes on and on. Best ever? |

The Wine Independent (94)The 2019 Tronquoy-Lalande is made from 50% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it slowly unfurls to offers fragrant notes of rose oil, Indian spices, and licorice over a core of creme de cassis and stewed plums, plus a hint of lavender. The full-bodied palate is firm and sturdy, with grainy tannins and plenty of freshness to match the muscular fruit, finishing long and earthy. |
