    • Bodega Poesia 2006 (6x75cl)

      Vinous (89-91)

(100% malbec) Red-ruby. Sexy, claret-like aromas of currant, minerals, flowers, tobacco leaf and mint. Suave, sweet and fine-grained, with lovely concentration and intriguing floral character to its redcurrant and graphite flavors. Finishes with smooth, spreading tannins and lovely aromatic persistence. Sophisticated wine for its price range. This was scheduled to be bottled in January, later than usual due to strikes in Argentina.

    • Poesia 2018 (12x75cl)
      (12x75cl) 2018

Poesia 2018 epitomises exquisite fine winemaking, originating from the prestigious Barolo region in Piedmont, Italy. Crafted by the esteemed Villa dei Barbi family, renowned for their dedication to tradition and excellence, this vintage showcases meticulous attention to detail. Utilising 100% Nebbiolo grapes hand-harvested from their premier vineyards, Poesia 2018 undergoes a careful fermentation process in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its vibrant acidity and aromatic complexity. The wine is then aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, imparting delicate hints of vanilla and spice without overshadowing its natural character. On the nose, Poesia 2018 reveals a captivating bouquet of ripe cherries, rose petals, and subtle earthy undertones. The palate is elegantly structured, offering a harmonious balance of rich tannins and refined acidity, leading to a long, graceful finish. Ideal for discerning connoisseurs, Poesia 2018 is a testament to superior craftsmanship and the enduring legacy of its producers.

    • Poesia 2019 (12x75cl)

      Vinous - Antonio Galloni (96)

The 2019 Poesia is one of the finest wines I have ever tasted from Hélène and Patrice Lévêque. Rich and sumptuous, Poesia marries intensity with vibrancy in grand style. Poesia is a big, explosive Saint-Émilion, but it also possesses tremendous energy. Dark fruit, gravel, incense, spice and saddle leather open with a bit of coaxing. There is an exotic quality to Poesia in 2019 that is especially alluring. Brilliant.
