Jean Tardy
Domaine Jean Tardy is a leading estate in the Cote d’Or. Jean Tardy inherited it from his father in 1970, passing it to his son Guillaume who has run it since 2003 with a clear vision. Using strict green harvested he has also reduced yields annually. The aim is to make wine with the purest fruit, finesse and elegance.

Vinous (91-93)
The 2021 Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru is matured in 100% new oak as usual. There is quite a bit of reduction on the nose that despite rigorous aeration I find difficult to dislodge. The palate is medium-bodied with a pastille-like succulent entry, quite a "gourmand" Echézeaux, a little savoury; the oak is quite vocal at the moment. Pleasing bitter edge on the finish. Only four barrels produced.Inc. TAX€2,023.45 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-95)
100% new wood. Dense dark purple, the nose currently dominated by the oak, but it will integrate well without any sign of drying the ample fruit. We cannot see the detail yet but the 2022 Echezeaux finishes gracefully, with finesse. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023.Inc. TAX€1,412.17
