Jean-Marc Pillot
Jean-Marc Pillot is the fourth generation to run his family estate in Chassagne Montrachet. A trained oenologist, he spent six years helping his father before leading the estate. He has built new cellars and expanded the area under cultivation. His focus is rich white wine with depth but there are excellent red cuvees too.

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-95)
(5-Star Wine) These vines were planted well before Jean Pillot, who still visits the winery regularly, was born in 1931, so they have probably passed their centenary. The 2019 Clos St-Jean offers an ideal imperial purple, colour, a fine yet discreet nose because the balance is perfect, and the best acidity of the Pillot reds. This is a really first rate example: long, poised and delicious with considerable ageing potential.Inc. TAX€776.87 -
