Jancis Robinson (18)
Three casks from three different spots. Slightly cloudy cherry red. Really rich and solid. From a very good producer (a long-term proposition) and made in the domaine philosophy. Lots of tannin on the end. Very energetic. Very slightly bitter on the end.Inc. TAX€2,458.38 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a decadent bouquet of red cherry and cranberry aromas, touches of pain d’épices and a hint of menthol emerging with time. But somehow it manages to retain control. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, slightly chalky tannins, good depth and a gentle grip toward the focused finish. This should age extremely well.Inc. TAX€2,908.38 -

Wine Advocate (94-96)
The 2014 Griottes Chambertin Grand Cru has a very intense bouquet with maraschino, blueberry and violets blossoming in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe black fruit, blueberry and a hint of balsamic, leading to a quite a structured and dense finish that just needs a touch more finesse. I think that will develop with time. Superb.Inc. TAX€4,139.20 -

Vinous (93-96)
Bright, deep red. Reticent but highly complex scents of raspberry, rose petal, white pepper, red licorice and mint. At once silky and sharply delineated, conveying outstanding intensity without any undue weight. Utterly seamless Chambertin if a bit youthfully linear today. The very long, rising finish is lightly saline and classically dry. Fourrier told me he has no plans to produce more than 30% as much négociant wine as domain wine in future years.Inc. TAX€3,254.93 -
Vinous (94-96)
The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru has a charming, quite regal bouquet with layers of crushed strawberry, raspberry and crushed iris aromas that blossom with aeration. The palate is very refined, beautifully focused with a silver bead of acidity. There is a sorbet-like freshness from start to finish, a gentle crescendo of flavours towards the blackberry, raspberry and orange zest finish that lingers persistently in the mouth. Superb.Inc. TAX€4,606.38 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-97)
Medium deep red purple with a little bit of spice. Starts gently then it really swells on the palate. All is at the back of the palate with a really classy finish, perfect tension, a very elegant Chambertin.Inc. TAX€4,642.38 -
Vinous (92-94)
Medium red. Alluring floral lift to the aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, crushed stone and sexy oak. Dense, broad and energetic, with a captivating subtle sweetness to the red berry and mineral flavors. Really saturates the palate and builds on the back end, finishing with noble, fine-grained tannins. Fourrier uses the same percentage of new oak to age his négociant and domain wines--around 20%.Inc. TAX€1,604.93 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has an engaging nose with brambly red berry fruit, pressed rose petals, orange essence and light marmalade aromas. The palate is vivacious and full of energy. There is great tension here, citrus-fresh with orange rind and quince notes infusing the red fruit towards the finish, though it does not possess quite the length of the Mazoyères-Chambertin. Still, this has a lot of potential.Inc. TAX€3,032.95 -
Vinous (94-96)
The 2018 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has an outstanding bouquet of crushed iris and incense aromas filtering through mineral-rich black fruit. Such vibrancy! The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very good acidity and a wonderfully focused finish that is top-drawer. Superb.Inc. TAX€2,716.38 -
