Founded in 1992 by Ann Colgin and Joe Wender, Colgin Cellars quickly soared to the very top of wine production in Napa Valley. The epitome of their holdings is their Colgin IX vineyard which is located in the Pritchard Hill area overlooking Lake Hennessy at an elevation of 350metres above sea level. This magical vineyard, contains rare volcanic soils that a a result of an ancient lava flow and has been dubbed by Robert Parker, Wine Advocate as ‘close to a viticultural nirvana as I have seen’

Jeb Dunnuck (100) The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is straight-up off-the-charts and one of the true gems in the vintage. Revealing a deep purple hue as well as extraordinary notes of crème de cassis, white flowers, spice, tobacco, and classy oak, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, and just perfect integration of its fruit, tannins, and acidity. I’d happily enjoy a bottle today, but smart money would give these a solid 4-5 years in the cellar and it should keep for 30-40 years. More Info
