Domaine Antonin Guyon
About Domaine Antonin Guyon
Antonin Guyon started his winemaking venture at the age of 55, when he purchased a few parcels of vines in Gevrey Chambertin and Meursault in the 1960s. His son, Dominique, patiently acquired some 350 plots of land belonging to almost 80 different owners and by 1970, had 22 hectares of excellent, south-facing vines at his disposal. Today, that viticultural arsenal has grown to about 47 hectares, allowing him to produce distinguished wines from 15 appellations from his winery based in Savigny-lès-Beaune. The Domaine is currently run by Dominique and his brother, Michel.

Wine Advocate (90-92)
The 2019 Chorey-lès-Beaune Les Bons Ores is shaping up very nicely, unfurling with aromas of raspberries, sweet berries and plums complemented by hints of rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's fleshy and charming, with fine depth at the core and a seamless, elegant profile. I can't think of many wines from this appellation operating at this level.Inc. TAX€443.58 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (88-91)
Last to be picked, with plenty of rot to sort out. A deeper purple than the Bourgogne. Marvellous density of deep raspberry fruit. Generous and very pure, with some black raspberry fruit, luscious more than precise but a wine it will be easy to fall in love with. Drink from 2024-2027.Inc. TAX€439.46 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-92)
(5 Star Wine) 10% new wood, about to be bottled. A similar rich crimson purple colour. A savoury and stylish deep red fruit on the nose, with spice behind. A pretty fantastic example of Chorey with life and depth, dark cherry fruit. Excellent tension, I think this will be gorgeous. Long, fine and sensual. Drink from 2026-2030. Tasted: November 2023.Inc.
