Wine Advocate (94-96)The 2015 Volnay 1er Cru les Taillepieds, 100% whole cluster with around 30% new oak, offers impressive precision and focus on the nose, lively cranberry, wild strawberry and pomegranate scents combine effortlessly with subtle notes of wet slate. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin, beautifully balanced with a crescendo of red fruit, mixed with mineral and spice towards the compelling finish. This is an outstanding Taillepieds that will require 4-5 years in bottle, but will repay the patient. |

Vinous (94-97)(100% vendange entier; 60% new oak): Bright dark red. Knockout discreet nose combines raspberry, Oriental spices, rose petal and flinty minerality. Extremely intense in the mouth, with its youthfully imploded flavors of raspberry and saline minerality conveying outstanding definition and energy. The longest of these 2015s so far, finishing with noble building tannins and lovely red berry, spice and crushed-stone perfume. This wine struck me as higher-pitched and redder in its fruit character than the 2014 version at the same stage. Sieve noted that the estate's highest 18 rows of vines on hard limestone give this wine an edginess that's not found in the Christiane cuvée. |

Wine Advocate (93)The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux has a very precise bouquet: cranberry, wild strawberry and cold slate aromas that feel very focused...aromas with intent! The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a crisp line of acidity, a mixture of red and black fruit here infused with blood orange and tangy Seville orange marmalade towards a feisty finish. There is superb length here. It is a really wonderful Les Corbeaux for long-term ageing. |

Vinous (86-88)(from vines at an altitude of 400 meters in the village of Daix, just northwest of Dijon; 20% new oak): Good medium red. Lively aromas of black cherry and licorice. Not fat or hugely ripe but a nicely racy Bourgogne Rouge with good cut to its dark fruit, licorice and chocolate flavors. Mortet has 24 barrels of this juice. |

Wine Advocate (95-97)The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru consists of three barrels this year, and is matured in 100% new oak and includes 50% whole bunch. It has a very clean and precise bouquet, more backward and broody than the Bonnes-Mares, the oak in the driving seat at the moment but with plenty of black fruit behind it. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannin, succulent black and red fruit with white pepper and spice box notes, a clinical thread of acidity that binds together a harmonious, almost understated finish. A case of 'less is more' here. |

Vinous (92)Bright, dark red. Superripe-verging-on-liqueur-like but with lovely perfumed lift to its cherry, red berry and dark chocolate aromas. Wonderfully dense, sappy, concentrated wine with serious medicinal reserve and surprising framing acidity to its deep core of dark fruit, mineral and spice flavors. As ripe as this is, it does not pass into surmaturité. Finishes with substantial ripe, dusty tannins and terrific length. A splendid village wine with the density and depth to age. |

Wine Advocate (91-93)The 2015 Marsannay les Longeroies was completely de-stemmed and matured in 20% new oak. It offers darker fruit than the Fixin, perhaps more introspective at the moment with touches of dried herbs and tobacco infusing the fruit. The palate is well balanced with sappy black fruit and fine salinity. There is plenty of energy conveyed by this Marsannay with wonderful precision and freshness on the finish. Wonderful. |

Burghound (95)This is notably more floral as well as more restrained and what is interesting is that even though the violet-inflected fruit profile is just as ripe, it runs toward the red side of the spectrum while displaying a similar variety of spice components that includes a hint of sandalwood. This too is impressively constituted but despite the power and concentration the broad-shouldered flavors retain plenty of underlying tension as well as lovely precision before culminating in a massively long, balanced and harmonious if youthfully austere finale where the only nit is a hint of warmth. By the usual standards of this wine I would not describe the 2015 version as massive though at the same time it is beautifully proportioned. |

Vinous (95)The 2015 Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru was cropped at 30.42hl/ha on 11 and 12 September. It has a glorious bouquet that springs from the glass: Morello cherries, crushed strawberry, crushed stone, just a hint of bay leaf all beautifully defined and with a little more horsepower than the Echézeaux. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip on the entry and comes across more saline in the mouth than its “little brother”. There is a pinch of spice that becomes more prominent with aeration and then against my expectations, it becomes understated and quite linear on the finish. One of the more backward 2015s from the domaine this year, I would cellar this for four or five years at least; a Grands Echézeaux that is full of secrets. Tasted at Corney & Barrow’s annual in bottle tasting in London. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (98)I have been fortunate to taste and drink the 2015 La Tâche on multiple occasions, and it has never been anything less than profound. Bright and beautifully focused with tremendous purity of fruit, the 2015 is so dynamic, so compelling. Is it ready to drink? Not for readers who enjoy fully mature Burgundies. But there is something thrilling about catching a wine like this in its youth, when it is still so vibrant and fresh. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (97)The 2015 Montrachet Grand Cru is, once again, stunning. I have had the good fortune of tasting the 2015 multiple times. It has never been anything less than stellar. Bright and focused, with tons of energy, the 2015 exudes class. At ten years of age, it is also very young, not to mention exceptionally polished in every way. |

Jancis Robinson (20)More notably stemmy than their others in this vintage, giving a soy, leaf and iodine character as well as spice and wood scents. An absolute belter, showing extraordinary fruit definition – cranberry, redcurrant, rhubarb – and pitch-perfect harmony on the finish. It’s the scent that stays with you, though – the unholy complexity of flavour that makes such wines so special. |

Vinous (96)Bright, full red. Sensational perfumed nose shows a musky element of wildness along with aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, cocoa powder, brown spices and earth. A compellingly rich, horizontal wine that spreads out to coat every square millimeter of the palate. Quite firmly built--even a bit youthfully imploded--but this wine is already an attention-grabber. Finishes with a firm but refined dusting of tannins and outstanding rising length. |

We found the wines in 2015 very easy and forward to taste, with as much focus on freshness as concentration, so there wasn’t a complete break from the 2014s in that sense. The hope is that as the wines mature they will continue to show the balance and classicism they displayed from the barrel. Our expectation is that they will do so and the best wines will live for a very long time with a genuinely satisfying pattern of maturation throughout their life.
