  • Rocheyron 2016 (6x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (94)

The 2016 Rocheyron, from Peter Sisseck's property in Saint-Émilion, is unquestionably the best to date. The bouquet bursts from the glass with fresh blackberry and boysenberry fruit that is seamlessly integrated with the one-third new oak. The palate is framed by fine tannins and a superb line of acidity. There is plenty of crisp black fruit here, and the smooth, energetic finish leaves a crushed stone residue. If you couldn’t locate any Pingus this year, just come here.

The 2017 Rocheyron, owned by Pete Sisseck, offers ripe red cherry and cranberry fruit on the nose that does not quite have the delineation of the previous two vintages. Decanter (94)

Black chocolate, baked earth, liquorice root and silky smooth tannins greet you on the first attack of this wine. I've never found this the easiest to love of the Durantou range but it is strikingly successful in 2019. Silky and yet slatey in texture, this both eases you through the palate and pulls you up short, slowing things down. Sparks of fresh minerality accompany the pulsing blueberry and raspberry fruits, and the juicy finish makes this one to look out for.

Exquisite aromas of black cherries and plum intertwine with subtle hints of cedar and earthy undertones, yielding a wonderfully balanced palate. On the palate, firm yet refined tannins transpire into a lingering finish, showcasing the precise ageing in French oak barrels. Enhanced by the vineyard's unique clay-limestone soil, the Saint-Brice Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2010 reflects a beautiful essence of place and time, making it a truly desirable addition to a discerning collector's cellar.

  • Saintayme 2019 (6x75cl)

    Decanter (94)

Black chocolate, baked earth, liquorice root and silky smooth tannins greet you on the first attack of this wine. I've never found this the easiest to love of the Durantou range but it is strikingly successful in 2019. Silky and yet slatey in texture, this both eases you through the palate and pulls you up short, slowing things down. Sparks of fresh minerality accompany the pulsing blueberry and raspberry fruits, and the juicy finish makes this one to look out for.

  • Saintayme 2020 (12x75cl)

    James Suckling (94-95)

A gorgeous red with so much black fruit and salty, mineral character. It’s medium-to full-bodied with creamy, polished tannins and a long finish. The precision and fine texture is impressive. One of the best I have had for a while.
