Burghound (89)(from 10 separate parcels of vines, most of which are located in the lower section of Flagey). Here the expressive and slightly riper nose is spicier still with its markedly floral nose that reflects notes of violet, lavender and rose petal on the black cherry and kirsch nuances. The suave, concentrated and seductively textured middleweight flavors where the velvety mouthfeel contrasts somewhat with the firm, serious and robust finale that exhibits excellent length. This will definitely need time but the quality is impressive for a villages-level wine. |
