So vibrant for it’s age, this has great concentration of candied-lime and grapefruit-zest character. Terrific structure and energy on the driving palate, but all of this is wrapped in rich citrus fruit to create stunningly complete harmony. Then fairly supple and lush for this wine, with moderate density and restrained sweetness. The berry flavors are firmed by harmonious acidity. The tannins offer good grip but turned a bit dusty with aeration. Finishing notes of game and herbs. Pauillac

Winemaker Fabrice Bacquey opted to reduce exposure to oxygen during fermentation with the goal of maintaining as much freshness in the fruit as possible.
