A small proportion of the wine was fermented in oak and it spent eight years on lees. Gentle smoke and lemony creaminess on the nose come with a backdrop of Viennoiserie. Bright lemon defines the palate, where that smoky backdrop lingers while the vivid bubbles burst with freshness and verve. Everything about this is youthful and sprightly, superbly fresh and vivid.
