The 2010 La Tour du Pin is showing incredibly well. A blend of 75% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc from just over 17 acres, this wine is a sleeper of the vintage. It offers up loads of blueberry, black raspberry and boysenberry fruit, stunning opulence, freshness and precision, despite its flesh and fat. Pure, fragrant and -open for business,- so to speak, this is a gorgeous wine to drink over the next 10-15 years.Inc. TAX€306.78 -
(12x75cl) 1983La Tour Figeac 1983 exemplifies the pinnacle of Bordeaux craftsmanship. Produced in the renowned Saint-Émilion appellation, this vintage showcases meticulously handpicked Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes from the estate’s venerable vineyards. Under the expert guidance of the esteemed Château Figeac family for over a century, the wine underwent traditional fermentation in French oak barrels, imparting nuanced complexity and refined tannins. Aging gracefully for decades, La Tour Figeac 1983 reveals a deep ruby hue, with aromas of black cherry, tobacco, and cedar intertwining seamlessly. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, elegant acidity, and a lingering finish, reflecting the unique terroir of the limestone-rich soils. Esteemed by critics and collectors alike, this vintage is a testament to the enduring legacy and dedication to quality that defines La Tour Figeac. Perfect for discerning enthusiasts seeking a rare and distinguished Bordeaux masterpiece.

The 2005 La Tour Figeac is silky, gracious and so expressive. Red-toned fruit, mocha, cinnamon and flowers give the 2005 a good deal of aromatic lift to match its mid-weight personality. The finish narrows just a bit, but this is still a very pleasing, nuanced Saint-Émilion. At this point I would not push my luck too much on aging. The 2005 is a gorgeous wine that shows the more delicate side of Saint-Émilion.Inc. TAX€1,042.62 -

Really fabulous on the nose, with sweet milk chocolate, flowers, currant and plum. Full-bodied, with incredible length. The tannins are so silky, but they are warm and cuddly. You just want to hug it. Powerful but so attractive. The blend is one third each of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Score range: 97-100Inc. TAX€871.66 -

Made with guidance from Stéphane Derenoncourt and from a great terroir near the Saint-Emilion/Pomerol border, the 2015 Château La Tour Figeac is a classic effort that offers lots of ripe red and black fruits, tobacco, damp earth and truffle aromas and flavors. It's ripe, polished and balanced, with sweet tannin, integrated acidity, and a clean, classy feel, all of which make it a joy to drink already. Nevertheless, it should be at its best from 2020-2032. Tasted twice.Inc. TAX€634.76 -

The 2016 La Tour Figeac offers good fruit intensity and depth. Readers should plan on giving it a few years in bottle, as the tannins are a bit coarse today. Red cherry, plum, espresso and floral notes add complexity throughout. Even so, the tannins retain a toughness that is not likely to ever fully disappear.Inc. TAX€327.84 -

A true “wow” wine, the deep, concentrated 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Hauts-Lieux (there's 20% Mourvèdre) offers awesome notes of blackcurrants, smoked meats, graphite, crushed rocks, and licorice. The 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Hauts-Lieux comes from slightly higher elevation sites and includes more Mourvèdre than the Les Trois Source release. It’s pure, full-bodied, and incredibly structured, with a tight, backward style that’s going to benefit from bottle age. Showing a distinct salty minerality as well as loads of black and blue fruits, it reminds me of the 2015 yet with more elegance. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades.Inc. TAX€106.92
