5 Star Wine. An even deeper purple. I thought it couldn’t get better than Les Brûlées, but it can. The fruit is a little darker, more raspberry than cherry, and there will soon be the lightest of chocolate notes. At this level the whole bunch clouds just add a nuance. No reason why this should not be an excellent wine. Another sample was produced, representing the component raised in foudre only, 10 barrels worth, so one third of the whole, has a clear pale lemon and lime colour. The fruit is clearly ripe but with no signs of exotic fruit. This fills the palate beautifully, a little citrus, enough white fruit flesh and then a long stony finish.
