This heady Barolo is wonderfully exotic, and a real pleasure to taste today. Impressive.

The 2017 Barolo Cannubi is a bit compact and nervous in this vintage. Sweet dried cherry, red flowers, spice, blood orange, earthiness, and dried herbs open with a bit of coaxing. I would have preferred to see a bit more mid-palate pliancy, but the 2017 is nicely done just the same.
