Giacomo Fenocchio has been producing some of the best value wines in Barolo since 1864 and the effortlessly pure 2015 may be one of their greatest vintages to date. Their classical approach lends these Baroli a dazzling level of terroir clarity, usually only found in the top echelon of producers. Yet here is incredible classicism at fantastic prices.
A fantastic set of single-vineyard triumphs, they display admirable consistency across the spectrum but special mention must go to the 96-point Cannubi, which James Suckling praised as "a tightly coiled wine with explosive, sleek power."
