If you have a bottle, it's time to pop that cork. You will be treated to a beautifully balanced wine that feels ever so natural and comfortable in its plus-sized intensity. The wine walks with a heavy gait, but it does so with the impeccable grace of a classic dancer. Dark fruit segues to spice, leather, smoke and cigar box. The wine's substantial textural richness caresses the palate. This vintage is right up there with the excellent 2015 release. |

It is composed of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, with a small proportion of Petit Verdot. The palate is full, structured, and ripe with kirsch and a dark chocolate covered cherry. It has an elegant touch of French oak, with cedar, vanilla bean, and more turned mineral earth. Full bodied and warming, but not overly ripe, this is deserving of time in cellar and then to drink over the coming 20 years. |
