Jeb Dunnuck (90)Mostly Merlot and the second wine of the estate, the 2017 Pastourelle De Clerc Milon is a pleasure-bent, plush, delicious 2017 that has ripe black cherry and currant fruits as well as classic notes of damp earth, lead pencil, and toasted spice. Playing in the medium-bodied end of the spectrum, with ripe tannins and loads of charm, it's going to drink nicely for over a decade. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (89-91)The 2020 Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is soft, supple and inviting, all of which will make it an absolute charmer when it is released in a few years' time. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit are pushed forward. As always, it’s Merlot-based; this vintage has a bit more Cabernet than usual, but that won't be an issue once in bottle. In the past, Pastourelle was shown en primeur, but sold only in bottle, a few years after the vintage, when the team deemed it ready to drink. This is the first vintage that will be offered as futures. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90-92)The 2021 Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is bold, fruity and delicious. Inky dark fruit, sweet spice, lavender and mocha are front and center. This charming, supple Pauillac will drink beautifully upon release. There's a bit more Merlot in this year's blend, and that really comes through in the wine' open-knit personality. |

Jeb Dunnuck (93)Violets, cassis, ripe black cherries, and graphite all emerge from the 2022 Pastourelle De Clerc Milon, a ripe, medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and lively second wine that has tons to love. As with the Grand Vin, it's undeniably one of the best examples of this cuvée to date. It will keep for two decades if well stored. |

Vinous (96)Inky ruby. Powerful, spice- and smoke-accented aromas of fresh black and blue fruits, candied violet, licorice and cola, along with a hint of exotic spices that builds in the glass. Sweet, palate-staining cassis, boysenberry, floral pastille and licorice flavors turn livelier with air. Impressively concentrated but surprisingly energetic, courtesy of its spine of smoky minerality. Finishes sappy, youthfully chewy and extremely long, with steadily mounting tannins and lingering florality. 25% new oak. |

Vinous (93)Inky purple. Black and blue fruits, vanilla and potpourri on the seductively perfumed nose. Offers intense cassis and boysenberry flavors lifted by gentle acidity, gaining in spiciness with air. Very rich and expansive but there's good energy here as well. The finish clings with superb tenacity, the spice and blue fruit notes repeating. |

Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (94)Bright yellow. Cool aromas of underripe peach, lichee and cinnamon. Penetrating on entry, then intensely flavored and tactile in the middle palate, with a captivating sweetness to its gripping lemon and stone flavors. Really reverberates on the back end. Offers a lovely acid/sugar balance but this very promising Corton-Charlemagne, like the Meursault Tete de Murgey, will be better for five or six years of bottle aging. (Javillier's single barrel of Meursault Charmes was in the middle of its malolactic fermentation.) |

Burghound (92)A more elegant and slightly more complex broad-ranging nose reflects an assortment of green apple, white flower, pear, mineral reduction and a wisp of oak. The overtly rich, full-bodied and powerful flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the moderately firm acid spine shaping the stony and saline-inflected finale. This too will need at least a few years of patience. |

Vinous (90-92)Pale yellow-straw. Aromas of lemon, lime, nutmeg and clove. Rich but dry and tight, showing little easy sweetness to its slightly aggressive flavors of stone fruits, spices and crushed-stone minerality. Shows a penetrating quality but this baby is still youthfully disjointed, even a touch sour on the end. Very difficult to assess with confidence today but the tight finish displays very good length. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)Only recently racked. An even mid lemon. The nose offers stones up front. The palate a wealth of concentrated white fruit supported by a little oak, and while the detail is not forthcoming, the quality and length of the finish impress. A vibrant mineral finish surrounded by an impressive weight of fruit. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted Dec 2024. |

Vinous (93)(the yield here was a very low 25 hectoliters per hectare owing to hail; no new oak): Inviting high-pitched scents of orange juice, white flowers, ginger and gunflint. Fine-grained and sharply delineated, saturating the palate with youthful flavors of soft citrus fruits, spices and stone. Impeccably balanced but backward today. A lovely essence of Meursault, and an outstanding village wine. |

Vinous (91-93)Bright straw-yellow. Ineffable high notes of brown spices and spearmint lift sexy stone fruit aromas. Wonderfully ripe and intense, conveying terrific inner-mouth perfume and tension to its citrus, stone fruit and spice flavors. Finishes saline and gripping, with terrific class and slow-building length. As tactile as this wine is, it stands out for its energy and light touch. This will be a village wine to seek out. |
