The names that resonate in the world of Burgundy are Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leroy, Domaine Armand Rousseau, and Domaine Georges Roumier. These vineyards have become synonymous with greatness, crafting wines that define elegance, complexity, and longevity.

Damoy's 2013 Chambertin comes across as decidedly wild and powerful in style. Juicy black cherries, mint, sage, lavender and violets flesh out as the 2013 shows off its breadth and density. Today, the Chambertin is quite raw, as the malos aren't quite finished. I suspect the 2013 will be quite a bit more complete and harmonious in a few months, once the elements meld together further.
