Sweet spot Outstanding. This is aromatically similar to the Charmes but with more floral influence and perhaps just a touch more ripeness. On the palate the larger-bodied flavors possess a highly seductive, caressing and plush mouthfeel thanks to the abundance of sappy dry extract that partially masks just how powerful this is, particularly on the notably more complex and tightly wound finale. Lovely and harmonious and a wine that could be reasonably approached after only 5 or so years.Inc. TAX€1,349.28 -

The 1999 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru from Jean-Marc Roulot is poured from magnum. Silvery in hue and showing little age, it has a precise, Puligny-like bouquet with subtle scents of dandelion and wet stone. The terroir really shines through here. The palate is very saline on the entry that gets the taste-buds flowing, just a hint of crème brûlée and lemon peel furnishing the clean and precise finish.
