The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet En Remilly 1er Cru has a light reduction on the nose, with yellow plum, lime and subtle crushed stone scents. It needs time to shake off the reduction, and there is a lot of new oak that will require time to be assimilated. The palate is well balanced with a smooth entry. Quite a concentrated Chassagne, a little honeyed in texture, this builds towards an intense, verging on exotic, finish. Yet the terroir keeps everything tightly bound and focused. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Bruno Colin maintains the age-old tradition of manual harvesting before the grapes undergo meticulous sorting and delicate pressing. The wine matures in oak barrels over a period of 18 months— a testament to its robust character. The result is a wine that presents a captivating balance between vibrant fruit flavours, mineral freshness, and a touch of oak. This Chardonnay is a true revelation with a harmonious finish worthy of its Premier Cru status.

Incredibly versatile, the Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru En Remilly 2020 goes spectacularly paired with a variety of dishes. Enjoy every sip of this French gem.

Vinous - Neal Martin (93+)

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet En Remilly 1er Cru has a light reduction on the nose, with yellow plum, lime and subtle crushed stone scents. It needs time to shake off the reduction, and there is a lot of new oak that will require time to be assimilated. The palate is well balanced with a smooth entry. Quite a concentrated Chassagne, a little honeyed in texture, this builds towards an intense, verging on exotic, finish. Yet the terroir keeps everything tightly bound and focused. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
