Vinous (93)The 2012 Chablis Forêt is all about texture. Describing the aromas and flavors is a bit futile, as it is the tactile sensations that captivate the senses. Persistent and silky, the 2012 boasts superb length and resonance. I imagine the Forêt will offer considerable pleasure as it develops in bottle over the next two decades. Bright, saline notes punctuate the highly expressive finish. |

The palate is very well balanced with a citric twist on the entry—touches of orange zest and clementine leading to a pretty, poised and quite elegant finish. What a beauty this Forêts is becoming. |

The utterly delicious but solidly intense flavors are sleek and mineral-infused while displaying very fine length on the bone-dry, clean and well-balanced finale. This too is very promising, indeed it's even better than it usually is, and should develop well over the next decade plus. |
