The 2016 Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru has quite a lot of oak on the nose, although it seems in sync with the redcurrant and cranberry fruit underneath. It is fragrant and become increasingly floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of red fruit and impressive mineralité.
