Bright, dark ruby-red. Very pure, vibrant aromas of kirsch, blackberry, licorice and cocoa powder. Strongly mineral-driven on the palate but not aggressive, with concentrated dark fruit and saline flavors complemented but not overshadowed by the 100% oak. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lovely floral persistence. Cropped at a modest 32 hectoliters per hectare, the 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes unfurls in the glass with an enticing bouquet of ripe cherries, dark chocolate, spices and espresso roast. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and layered, with a textural attack, excellent depth and dimension at the core and velvety structuring tannins. It's a real success in the gourmand style of the vintage. In Bond€138.00 -

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village, from the usual 11 parcels, has a tightly controlled red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet with veins of dried rose petal. The palate is crisp on the entry with grainy tannin, beautifully balanced with a poised, winsome finish and a saline aftertaste. It eschews the usual heaviness that can pervade Chambolle premier crus this vintage with a sense of precision. This comes recommended. In Bond€659.00 -

The 2015 Romanée Saint-Vivant Grand Cru from Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat is exceptional, bursting from the glass with notes of cherries, wild berries, exotic spice, dried flowers and orange rind. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated and authoritative, built around a bright line of acidity and a fine-grained chassis of satiny tannins. The finish is long, fragrant and racy.In Bond€1,205.00
We found the wines in 2015 very easy and forward to taste, with as much focus on freshness as concentration, so there wasn’t a complete break from the 2014s in that sense. The hope is that as the wines mature they will continue to show the balance and classicism they displayed from the barrel. Our expectation is that they will do so and the best wines will live for a very long time with a genuinely satisfying pattern of maturation throughout their life.
