Vinous (90-92)The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has quite an intense bouquet of copious red cherries, raspberry preserve and orange blossom aromas, although it does not quite possess the same complexity as this vineyard’s finest efforts. The elegant palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, tart red fruit and a slight citrus element toward the finish. A capable Les Amoureuses, rather than one you will instantly fall in love with. |

Burghound (92-94)(Sweet spot Outstanding) Once again the nose is quite restrained while remaining wonderfully elegant and even more floral with its cool and admirably pure aromas of pomegranate, cherry, spiced tea and plenty of violet and lavender nuances. There is outstanding intensity, in fact it's presently almost painful, to the pungently mineral-driven middle weight flavors that display terrific persistence on the youthfully austere and equally chiseled finish. This is impressive though note well that it's very compact and a wine that will require extended patience. |

Wine Advocate (92-94)Wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, sweet red berries, petals, licorice and spices, the 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is medium to full-bodied, satiny and pure, with a pretty, perfumed core of fruit framed by melting tannins, concluding with a saline finish. |

Vinous (88-90)The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru has quite a stemmy nose that rather obscures the terroir and fruité at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy opening, quite firm in the mouth, just missing some finesse and Pinoté towards the finish. A bit too firm for a Chambolle, at least in my book. |

Tim Atkin MW (97)The stand out wine at Bichot in 2012, even though it was made from (very special) purchased grapes. Pepper spicy, concentrated, yet clearly defined it's silky, sweet and beguilingly fruity with very subtle oak integration, fine-grained tannins and a silky, palate-caressing finish. |

Wine Advocate (91-93)The 2016 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru was picked on 28 September, includes 30% whole bunch fruit and matured in 40% new oak. It has a clean, fresh and vibrant bouquet with red cherry, cranberry leaf and fine mineralité coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, impressive depth, quite saline in the mouth with a pinch of spice/black pepper toward the finish. This is a well-crafted Clos de la Roche that should age with style. |

Vinous (87-89)The 2020 Corton Clos des Maréchaudes Grand Cru has an attractive bouquet with mulberry, raspberry and light floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins, quite firm, a little rustic towards the finish. A broad-shouldered Corton that just needs a little more finesse. |

Burghound (89)A cool, airy and ripe nose combines notes of both red and dark currant, spice and a violet top note. There is better volume and richness than usual to the overtly mineral-driven middle weight flavors that conclude in a moderately austere and balanced if not especially long finish that could use better depth. Here too at least some patience should prove to be beneficial, particularly to allow more complexity to develop. |

Vinous (90+)Healthy dark red. Pure but reticent nose offers scents of dark berries and licorice pastille; at once slightly liqueur-like and fresh. Rich, fine-grained and sweet, but a bit less fruity and stylish than the 2016 version. This is ultimately tighter and more powerful and built to age. Doesn't show the finesse of the 2016 version in the early going but avoids coming across as hard. |
