Like the Grèves, there is just enough volatile acidity to warrant mentioning on the ultra-spicy nose of various dark berries, plum and pretty floral notes. The suave, round and exceptionally rich medium weight plus flavors are very Vosne in character before culminating in a palate coating, robust and well-balanced finish. This is very clearly built-to-age and as I have mentioned in several of the above reviews, my only concern revolves around the VA. This is to say that at present it's no more than a nit but it's impossible to say how it will progress, if at all, with time in bottle. This is a very serious Grand Cru, extraordinarily focused and full of tension; the mouth still tingles 60 seconds after it has exited. A consummate expression of a great Burgundy vintage. Very fine delineation on the finish, taut and precise, this exerts just the right amount of grip on the finish. This should age extremely well in bottle. Very fine delineation on the finish, taut and precise, this exerts just the right amount of grip on the finish. This should age extremely well in bottle.
