Vinous (96-98)The 2020 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is very pure and harmonious on the nose with plush black cherry and cassis fruit, well-integrated oak and a floral aspect that becomes more prominent with time. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, lightly spiced with quite a vivacious, mineral-driven finish that retains superb definition. This is very impressive and bloomin’ delicious (already!) |

Vinous (94-96)The 2021 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has one of the finest aromatics from Jadot this year with a seductive bouquet of wild strawberry, blueberry, sous-bois and hints of Earl Grey and wilted rose petals. Wonderful. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and crisp acidity. It's taut and fresh with a touch of spice toward the cohesive and persistent finish. This is a superb effort in such a challenging growing season. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (96-98)The 2023 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru contains 30% whole cluster like the previous year. It was one of the shy wines at the beginning of barrel aging, according to head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. Those stems add another dimension to the bouquet: dark berry fruit, hints of pepper and freshly rolled tobacco blossom in the glass with impressive vigor. The palate is ravishing and succulent on the entry with filigreed tannins, a keen line of acidity—perhaps the purest of all of Jadot's red cuvées—and just the right amount of lushness on the finish. There's structure here, but it is cloaked in gorgeous fruit. Bon vin! |

Burghound (96)A dazzlingly complex and pure nose reveals an incredible breadth of spice-box and dark fruit aromas that are displaying only a whisper of secondary development along with just enough wood to comment on. The ripe and seductive yet incredibly intense medium-bodied flavors display marvelous depth and perfect balance on the sappy, sweet, powerful and hugely long finish that is beautifully detailed and focused. This beauty is a model of grace and understatement and while it could be drunk now with pleasure I would advise waiting as it seems quite clear that there is still plenty of unrealized development potential. In sum, this is stunningly good. |

Vinous (95-97)The 2017 Musigny Grand Cru, which contains just under 50% stems, demands more coaxing than the Les Amoureuses, eventually revealing cranberry and hints of hoisin, sous-bois, tobacco and crushed stone aromas, all very complex. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple tannin framing pure dark berry fruit laced with brown spice, tobacco and sage. This Musigny displays wonderful density and power, yet retains the precision of a noble Burgundy on the long finish. Outstanding. |

Vinous (94-96)The 2018 Musigny Grand Cru has a much more composed and refined, almost understated bouquet compared to the Bonnes-Mares. Red berry fruit, sous-bois, touches of sandalwood and bay leaf aromas develop in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Lively and full of tension, displaying just a touch of piquancy toward the spicy finish and a very long tail. A lovely Musigny, although you cannot help but be seduced by the more flattering Bonnes-Mares. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-96)1 x 350 litre barrel is the whole crop! No great depth to the colour, nor do I pick up much on the nose. The more sumptuous style of Musigny shows on the palate but in a muted register. Just a fraction peppery behind but the weight of slightly riper fruit returns behind that. Persistent, sensual, well made, just not on a fortissimo scale this year. Drink from 2028-2035+. Tasted: October 2022 |

Vinous - Neal Martin (95-97)The 2022 Musigny Grand Cru does not hold back with a multi-layered nose of wild strawberry, raspberry, forest floor, pain d'épice and a light ash-like scent. Very absorbing and beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins. Impressive depth and grip, as you would expect from a Musigny, with a touch of white pepper and orange rind towards the finish. Very long. It will require 8 to 10 years in bottle, but it's certainly worth the wait. |

Burghound (93-96)Ripe aromas include those of plum, dark cherry, warm earth and a whisper of the sauvage. The supple, delicious and dense big-bodied flavors flash enormous power and drive that really builds from the mid-palate to the explosively long and sappy finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. Note that this is very firmly structured and in need of at least a decade of keeping and should reward almost two. |
