So, bypassing the aromatics, the palate is medium-bodied with chunky, forthright tannins. This is much more masculine than the Charmes-Chambertin, touches of melted tar and tobacco appearing toward the finish, which feels a little conservative by comparison. Hopefully it will develop more charm by the time it is bottled. |
