A totally unique white sourced from an organically-grown single vineyard situated on the Monte Rocchetta hill, this wine stands out amongst Pieropan's portfolio due, in part, to its barrel fermentation, making it "deeply textural". With distinctive notes of "honeyed sweetness…candied ginger and hints of sour melon", Eric Guido says oenophiles can come back to this wine over and over again (93 points, Vinous).
Aromas of chamomile, dried pineapple, preserved lemon, toasted almond and beeswax. It’s medium-to full-bodied with tangy acidity. So concentrated, layered and phenolic. Keeps going. Yet, it remains agile and vivid. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

There’s a honeyed sweetness mixed with candied ginger and hints of sour melon that keeps you coming back to the 2018 Soave Classico La Rocca over and over again. It’s deeply textural and savory in character, with a silky, almost oily feel giving way to ripe apple with saline minerality that adds a bit of tactile grip. The finish goes on and on, buzzing with residual acids and spice. Very nice.
