Vinous (92-94)The 2021 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru needs a little more cohesion on the nose, and I was expecting a little more power to come through. I suspect that I just caught this on an off day. The palate is better with fine cohesion and acidity, decent depth with orange zest and spice. Very harmonious and persistent on the finish - I suspect this will open up beautifully once in bottle, but for me, it is shaded by the Les Clos at the premature juncture. |

Wine Advocate (97+)An example of purity and stony tension, Vincent Dauvissat’s 2022 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is the crowning achievement of an extraordinary portfolio. With an understated Chablisien character, it opens in the glass to reveal a marine bouquet of oyster shell and iodine mingling with lemon zest and white flowers. Refined and laden with incisive acids, an abundance of chalky structuring extract and with a persistent, searingly saline finish, it is more ethereal and elegant than Les Clos yet possesses all the prerequisites to age as gracefully—provided the cork holds. |

Wine Advocate (97)As one might reasonably anticipate, the 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses follows a more understated trajectory than Les Clos yet is no less profound. Its bouquet unfurls layers of sea breeze, spring flowers and orange peel mingling with iodine and flint. The medium- to full-bodied palate is filigreed and laser-focused, built around a crisp core of fruit and propelled by racy acidity toward a long, saline finale. Elegant and ethereal, it promises a long and broad enjoyment window. |

Vinous (88)Reticent aromas of menthol and mint. Fat and sweet in the mouth; more open-knit today than the 2014 but still showing good flavor definition and a touch of menthol austerity. Finishes with a bracing white grapefruit quality and lovely restrained sweetness. Transcends its appellation and reveals virtually no evidence of compromised grape skins. |

The Vincent Dureuil Janthial Bourgogne Blanc 2021 is a sterling representation of the exceptional talent and diligence of Vincent Dureuil. Hailing from the heart of Burgundy, France, this splendid white wine asserts the renowned vigneron’s commitment to organic viticulture. The grapes derive from selected vineyards that exemplify the region's chalky clay soils. Following a manual harvest, the juice undergoes a slow fermentation process in seasoned oak casks, showcasing the creator’s preference for minimal intervention. The result is a complex, full-bodied wine with a captivating bouquet of green apple, citrus and acacia florals, swiftly followed by a balanced, mineral finish. With his meticulous craftsmanship, Vincent Dureuil ensures that every bottle of Bourgogne Blanc 2021 echoes the distinctive character of its terroir. To the discerning palate, this wine indeed confirms Dureuil’s reputation for producing textured, harmonious, and long-lasting wines that undeniably express the best of Burgundy. |
