“This estate's 2017 Gigondas emerged from my blind tastings as one of the wines of the vintage.” - Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate)
Gleaming black-cherry and plum flavors pulsate through this rich, penetrating blend of Grenache (70%) and Syrah (30%) sourced from rocky limestone and marl soil. It's a dark, sultry wine offset by tangs of salty minerality and firm, gripping tannins. This vibrant red should improve through 2030 and hold further.

This estate's 2017 Gigondas emerged from my blind tastings as one of the wines of the vintage. It's full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, yet it balances that with delicate aromas of rose petals, herbal tea, red raspberries and ripe stone fruit. Supple across the mid-palate, it finishes long, framed by silky tannins that should help sustain it through 2030.

Up with the top wines in the appellation, the 2017 Gigondas from winemaker Jerome Cartier checks in as 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah that was destemmed and brought up in concrete tanks. Medium to full-bodied, with building richness and ultra-fine tannins, it has thrilling notes of ripe black fruits, smoked meats, ground pepper, and spring flowers. It does everything right, and while beautiful today, it’s going to evolve for 10-15 years.

Deep glistening ruby. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, candied flowers and baking spices, and a bright mineral element emerges with air. Seamless, sweet and energetic on the palate, offering juicy Chambord and boysenberry flavors that show sharp delineation and a hint of smokiness on the back half. Finishes very long and smooth, with even tannins framing lingering red fruit and floral notes.
