An expression of the Champoux vineyard, this wine illustrates the great potential of Merlot varietal. Vintage 2015 was the warmest year to date, and this wine excels in balancing fruit characters, structure and focus. Awarded 97 points from William Kelley at the Wine Advocate, he notes the bursting "precocious bouquet" and the "layered and almost voluptuous" palate. Already "delicious straight out of the gate", it has the potential to cellar until 2038.

Producer

Andrew Will is the leading producer in Washington State. Located on Vashon Island just west of Seattle, it was founded in 1989 by sommelier-turned-winemaker Chris Camarda. Now in the capable hands of his son Will Camarda, he crafts serious Bordeaux-style wines that reflect each vineyard's terroir. Andrew Wills' wines are difficult to source, producing 4,500 cases each year only, and their wines are mostly sold through a dedicated mailing list.
